These are Ridio's terms of service. They are written in plain language, without unnecessary legalese. By using the app, you accept these terms.
1. Who we are
Ridio is an iOS application for radio streaming developed by Riccardo Antonio Vaia, an independent developer based in Italy. In these terms, "we" refers to the developer, "you" to the user of the app.
2. What Ridio is
Ridio is an app that lets you listen to streaming radio stations on your iPhone and on CarPlay. The app connects to third-party radio servers to play their audio streams. Ridio is distributed exclusively through the Apple App Store.
3. License to use
By purchasing or downloading Ridio, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on your Apple devices, under the standard terms of the Apple App Store. The license does not grant you ownership rights over the app, source code, name, logo, or other graphical elements.
4. Pricing model
Ridio is freemium: the basic version is free forever. Premium features unlock with a single payment of $3.99 (or equivalent in your currency) handled by the App Store. There are no subscriptions and the price does not auto-renew.
Free and Premium features are described on the app's App Store page. The maximum number of favorite stations in the free version is 2.
5. Refunds
Refunds are handled directly by Apple according to App Store policies. To request a refund you can use Apple's reportaproblem.apple.com page. We cannot issue direct refunds because we do not handle the payments.
6. Radio station content
Ridio does not produce, own, or control the content broadcast by radio stations. The app plays streams provided by third-party broadcasters, accessible through the public Radio Browser database. We are not responsible for:
- The audio content broadcast (music, talk, ads, etc.)
- The accuracy of metadata (track title, artist, album art) sent by the stations
- Any offensive, illegal, or inaccurate content
- Interruptions, delays, or disconnections caused by the station's server
- The availability or shutdown of individual stations
For issues related to a specific station (illegal content reports, copyright reports, etc.) you should contact the broadcaster directly or the administrators of the Radio Browser database.
7. Service availability
We do our best to ensure Ridio works correctly, but we cannot guarantee that the app is always available, bug-free, or compatible with all iOS versions. The app is provided "as is", without explicit warranties beyond those provided by applicable law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app, including (but not limited to) loss of data, malfunctioning radio streams, or improper use while driving.
Use in the car. Ridio supports CarPlay, but it is your responsibility to use the app safely while driving and to comply with local traffic laws.
9. Acceptable use
By using Ridio you agree not to:
- Modify, decompile, or reverse-engineer the app's source code
- Resell, redistribute, or rent the app to third parties
- Use the app for illegal purposes or to violate the rights of others
- Attempt to bypass Premium features without paying
10. Privacy
The processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is an integral part of these terms.
11. Changes to terms
We reserve the right to update these terms in the future. Changes will be published on this page with the new "last updated" date at the top. By continuing to use the app after the changes, you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Italian law. For any dispute arising from use of the app, the Italian courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
